An honest second perspective, from people who live here
We are Jan and Jordan and we live in Central Portugal. We do independent property checks for people buying a home from a distance, with no stake in the purchase.
Why an independent check?
Anyone buying a property in Portugal from the Netherlands or Belgium quickly leans on photos, an agent's description and a feeling. But the agent wants to sell, and photos do not show the truth about damp, access, water, electricity or the neighbours.
We fill that gap. We drive to the property, look with a critical eye and report back honestly. Sometimes we confirm what you already feel. Sometimes we ask the questions you had not yet thought of.
Who does what
Jan has a sharp eye for the property, the land and the technical side: access, water, electricity, damp, fire risk and the condition of a house or quinta.
Jordan looks at the purchase contract, the documents, the area and the bigger picture, and makes sure you get a clear report you can act on.
Clear about what we are not
We are not estate agents, lawyers, tax advisers or licensed surveyors, and we earn nothing from your purchase. Our role is an honest, independent second perspective.
